I Hate Reality TV Shows

Life doesn't come supersized like McDonalds, or has an extra large chest. It's a piece of crap that you are expected to mold into a better piece of crap. Men and women take advantage of each other, money rules over love, and gossip creates a reality TV show. So why is your drama better than mine? It probably isn't, but you're most likely a blood sucking leech who is too ashamed of yourself; therefore, creating a new fake image that is supposed to shock everyone. Ninety percent of you-types cheat or are cheated on and too stupid to realize or do anything about it. The other 10 percent...well you're the drama types. You can't go back to work because you just feel like your characters's changed since your baby was born. Bullshit! You're too fat and lazy to get off your ass. No one cares why you didn't come back to work. I promise you, no one even missed you. What about those with bad cosmetic surgery? How about those who think they are "Miami'ians", and act like Miami is a damn country or something? What the hell is the matter with you? People from Miami don't move to Highlands f'ng county! They are born there, and consider themselves a Miami citizen just because a they have a family member from there. Have you been to Coconut Grove? Have you lived there? What about Hialeah? Ever have a Cuban bring you water and a Churro to your car at a red light? Can you tell me the difference between I-95, I-135, and Miami Gardens Drive? Chances are, you can't. You may passed a visit, but you're not from there. And you only look more idiotic acting like you are. All of you need to get together, call MTV, and get you're own show, because that's what you are. A damn show.

New App Designed

I recently designed a new internal app that I plan on using on the Socialnip.com platform. You can already manage and take care of your personal Niptoon, but now, you can also directly burn your photo albums onto a CD. With the click of a button, you can burn your favorite moments without having to copy, drag or paste images. Also, are you a coupon shopper? Do you scan through coupon mags and newspaper inserts, looking for the best deals on items you honestly don't even really use? Well, now, you can avoid this tedious task just by using my Niplist app. Simply get your grocery list out, log on to Niplist.com, and enter in your zip code. Then, type in an item. For example: Fish. Click the save button and click the "Add" button to add more items to the search list. Once your entire list is entered in, click the submit button. The returned results display your items and best prices at the grocery stores in your surrounding zip code area. Print your list and you're on your way.

Sleep Deprivation

Not sure if I have chronic or acute, but either way, it's not good for me.  I've stopped growing, and so has my brain; therefore, I won't suffer from loss of growth or brain expansion.  I've experienced major weight change; a loss from 220 down to 200 in less than 4 weeks.  When I was out and about, I had less of a hunger, meaning if I went to our local Starbucks to work on my laptop, I didn't feel the necessity to eat.  At home, however, I can kill 5 Voltage Mountain Dews in less than an hour.  I am stressed out; I'll be the first to admit it.  And not for obvious day-to day reasons.  I'm on a time restraint. It's a goal I set for myself.  I'm getting close to the end, but the work isn't done.  So, I'm stressed, pressured, and can't sleep.  I'm not actually blogging away and avoiding my work.  I'm blogging simultaneously.  Did you know Justin Timberlake purchased My Space for 35 million dollars?  He wants to restructure and resurrect the brand name.  Why?  He was in The Social Network.  He knows Facebook dominates.  I think he caught a bit of inspiration from the movie.  Shit, I did too.  I still watch it, grasping a hold of the little hidden secrets and comments the normal viewer would miss.  I added a new talent to my site.  All I will say is not only is the site a social network/employer search/career adventure community, but it is also a source of entertainment.  Users can earn bragging rights by challenging other members in a duel.  ‘Nough said. Oh, and 30 Minutes or Less with Jesse Eisenberg looks stupid.

The Better Candidate

Chances are no one is reading this because you have more important things to do with your lives, such as Facebook crap no one even cares about, or pretend to be someone you're not.  You post 5 million pics of your baby in different poses.  Wow, awesome.  So original.  It's a waste of server space if you ask me.  What do people care about?  They look twice at the months in between pics; you know, the pics before your baby had hair, and then the ones with a full head.  Yes, you're proud.  We get it.  So you like to brag about using your child support money to buy stuff for yourself.  So you like to pretend to be in a relationship that you know means nothing.  You like to get drunk and make mistakes, but then "tee hee" about it and assume your partner will forgive you.  Ok, this is bullshit.  Reality check.  I remember when beepers were the machine of the century.  Typing "143" meant I love you.  I had an entire 8x11 page full of code.  I even had a gold chain that attached my beeper to my belt.  I was cool then because that was considered bling.  And of course it was.  Who wants to carry a 20lb grey cellphone around?  No no. It's better to get a beep, pull your car over, and use the pay phone.  And if you were lucky, Burger King was next door and you could light up a cig inside and chill.  So, why Facebook?  Here's why: you don't know any better. It's crack and it's addictive.  More power to them I say.  If you used my crack 24 hours a day, I could care less why you used it, as long as you kept coming back.  I am jealous of Mark Zucky.  However, anyone can be creative.  Just get a Harvard drop out to write your coding.  By the way ladies, he is single.

Gotta Love Sundays

Sundays are the lazy, I don't feel like doing anything, I just want to watch SpongeBob all day, days.  This includes the waking up at 2 o'clock in the afternoon and ordering in food because you just want to stay in your boxers, on the couch, and avoid daylight altogether. Making anything is out of the question.  If you're lucky enough to have a significant other share these moments with you, then you may throw "what do you want to do?" "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Nothing really." back and forth a few times.  Welcome to my lovely day today.  I wanted to blog about this because some interesting things occurred, and I didn't really realize it until later on at night.  For starters, my breakfast consisted of Cajun style boiled peanuts, code red mountain dew, and mozzarella sticks.  I finished it off with some left over tuna fish I made the day before.  Satisfied, I designed more pages of my website to be, then laid back awhile to give my cat attention.  Ok, so awhile turned into a couple hours, flipping channels back and forth between Transformers and Zombieland.  A call comes in on the cell.  It's time to visit a family member in the hospital.  Not a life threatening situation, but it's a still a hospital; far from the Ritz.  By the way, I found this interesting.  Walking out of Florida Regional, I noticed paintings and pictures for sale, hanging on the walls near the lobby.  I think health care is getting desperate for money.  I remember seeing some of the $50 to $80 paintings at Wal-Mart and Marshalls for around $10 to $20.  That's a hell of a markup.  I'm in the wrong business.  I think their miniature grand piano was for sale too.  This just isn't something you see every day.  I can sorta understand a gift shop inside a hospital, but an art gallery?  Very creative I guess?  Anyways, dinner consisted of French fries from McDonalds and a whopper from Burger King.  I hate Burger King fries and I hate McDonald’s burgers.  Honestly, I hate fast food period, but again, it's Sunday and I wasn't cooking.  Oh yeah, check this out.  The invisible man at the McDonalds drive thru tells me they're out of Diet Coke. I said ok, I'll have a Sprite then.  "We are out."  Um, ok. So I tell him "Just tell me what you do have and we'll go from there".  My wife is looking at me now like I'm a prick.  "We have Hi-C, Dr. P, Lemonade, and Water."  I asked him "How much is the water?"  He seriously told me to hold and he'll check.  Wow, really dude?  I just drove up to the window at this point and told him to add a Dr. P and wished him good luck with the rest of his night.  Onwards to Burger King.  I order, so far so good.  I pay the man and he tells me "Could you please pull up and wait in the front.  We are turning your patties now."  Ugh.  I pull up; knowing I won't embarrass myself by asking for my money back and just driving away, and wait in guess what?  Another freakin' line!  I mean there was literally a drive thru line after the drive thru line.  I don't know if it's an "I drank too much last night and my head really hurts today", or if Sunday is when the dumb people just come out to play.  Next time, I'll get a hot dog and beef jerky at the Circle K.

Search has come to an end?

I visited the Career Center at SFCC (South Florida Community College) today, in search for interns to help me build my web project.  I submitted my posting and now play the waiting game; however, in the interim, I was contacted by an individual expressing interest in working for Socialnip as our full time web designer and coder.  His enthusiam and knowledge was overwhelming, and I appreciated every minute.  We shared the same ideas and our conversation just seemed to flow.  just hope this works out because every second devoted to this project matters and moving forward is the only option.  I'm going to give him a shot and see how he produces.
If an SFCC student expresses their interest, I think I will take them on board as well, just to keep an inhouse associate with me, and only until the internship term is up.

Socialnip Blueprint Complete

After roughly 75 hours, over a 5 day period, of wired in, no sleep site drafting, my blueprints are now complete!  Next: to input the draft into my web design platform, making it concrete.  This is months of work, making sure all of the buttons, links, server side scripting, and everything else are functioning properly.  And I still need a coder. So, I had an idea.  I'll input the draft layout first, send it off to copyright.gov, and then work on the function properties.  This way, the site and idea is mine and I'll sue your a** if you steal it! Investors....here I come!

To Ring or Not to Ring

I wear my wedding ring because I like to.  It looks nice and feels like a "reminder" around my finger.  I tend to think twice when it's on (not that I'm bad when it's off).  So, does a wedding ring mean anything?  Of course it does.  It's a symbol of your vows, commitment, and an icon of trust.  Does it mean all that goes away when it’s off?  Let me ask you this:  Would you feel guilty going to a dance club without your partner?  Do you think it’s ok to keep secrets from your partner?  What about the idea that you could cheat and get away with it?  Well, the answer has nothing to do with whether or not you wear a wedding ring.  It has to do with doing on to others as they do to you; the eye for an eye law.  Every choice you make, ask yourself if you’re comfortable with your partner making that same choice.  A ring won’t make you decide the right choice.  It’s your heart.  If your heart is not in the right place, then your head probably isn’t either.

Break Time: This tumbles my brain...

So far, I'm 4 days and 60 hours of devoted-no sleep invested time into the development of my website.  The more and more I lay it down on paper, the more excited I get.  As much as 'The Social Network' can be, at times, very annoying, watching clips here and there motivates me.  In no way am I comparing myself to the Harvard dropout, Facebook creator Mark Zucky.  He could probably accomplish what I've done in a few hours.  But that doesn't matter.  Creativity can come from anyone, which is simply just a form of a good idea.  Putting that idea into blueprint sometimes needs an architect’s touch.  Well, I have yet to receive help, despite my plea in previous postings on this site and Facebook.  So, I’m the architect for now and when I get really desperate, I’m ringing doorbells.  I want this site to work, and it will, not for money, but to be the face of genius behind something original, creative, and hopefully global.  With my wife concerned about the less spent quality time, she supports me.  And when tensions rise, a cold Mountain Dew Code Red does the trick.  Cajun peanuts from the gas station are comforting too.  I still make time to cook above average meals.  After all, that’s why I’m in culinary school, which classes start again August 22nd.  I have to complete the platform, interface and database, and publish the site live within 30 days from 4 days ago.  If I can accomplish this, then I will have utilized my site design software within its’ free trial period.  Not that it really matters because if I don’t pay to register the software, I won’t be able to make any changes to my site.  So if you’re reading this and you know someone that’s a website designer or coder, pass the message on.  Maybe I’ll give you a “finder’s fee”.

Socialnip.com: Coming soon to a computer near you.

I am the founder of Socialnip.com.  It's in the works; so you won't be able to view it just yet.  I wanted to mention it on my blog just to get the name and its' "what abouts" out there.  I am still in need of a coder towards the end of its development for review before I publish it live (and I want to run and host it off my own server), but I'm good for now.  Socialnip.com is a network of neighborhoods that connects you with other residents in your field: known as a neighborhood (such as cook, nurse, pilot, actor, singer) and connects you with other neighborhoods of interest.  It is not necessarily designed to keep you in contact with your friends and family, but more of a network to open new doors of opportunity, interest and possibilities.  Ever wonder what it would be like to own and run a charter boat out of the Caribbean every day for a living, or what it takes to start up a beauty salon?  Your individual profile moves you into a designated neighborhood.  For example, I like to cook and have an interest in independent film makers.  So, I would create my profile to live in the "Culinary" neighborhood, with interest in visiting the "Film" neighborhood.  Your interest connects you with different neighborhoods, while keeping in touch with the residents in yours.  You'll be able to post pics and vids, and even your resume and headshots if you're in the job market.  This is not a Facebook knockoff; so there are no games or status updates. It is a way to get noticed for your skills and provide information to help you on a path of adventure.  And it is free.

Child Support or Ex Support...

I pay child support.  I'm a full-time student.  I'm unemployed and collect it.  I'm married.  I live in a town monopolized by one organization called Cross Country.  I am only available to work after class is out (I start at 8am to 3pm).  I'm not a deadbeat.  Going to college means I am bettering myself and not just sitting on my ass.  These are the facts.  Here's my issue:  It pisses me off that support amount is based on what I am "capable" of earning, otherwise known as my potential.  I'm no rocket scientist, but is your earning potential really met in Sebring?  Of course it’s not.  So how am I supposed to pay support based on a $60,000 annual salary? Well, I don't, but that is the case for most men out there.  Focus on the word I used: "men".  I am not referring to you morons that ruin it for the rest of the upper class, placing us in the lower class just because you decide to prick the ant hill and watch them scatter without getting bitten.  The fact of the matter is, all of us "men" and "morons" pay the same price, and it's a hefty one.  If we don't pay support, we lose our driver’s license, up to the point of incarceration.  A woman’s role in all this should be a supportive one; not “I’m going to get as much money out of him as I can.”  This objective won’t work because what’s the point if we can’t afford it.  You won’t get any money.  And when you do get money, don’t brag about and refer to it as extra income.  It’s not concert ticket or clothing money for you and your friends.  It’s “support funding” for the child next to you.  Remember the child? So, I propose all future funding is collected in a trust-type fund and then disbursed to the “ex” in the form of food stamps or a government verified funded card that can only be used for your child.  Everyone is happy; I mean the child and the supporting father are happy.  If you can’t buy that new Victoria Secret fitted bra you saw in the window because the “moron” didn’t make his payments, I guess you’ll actually have to use your own money.  Remember, again, support comes from both parties.  It is broken down by percent.  And how did I get lucky to pay support off of only $7.50 an hour, instead of $60,000?  I had a personal attorney, she lied in court, she thought she could take me to the bank, and thought crying in front of a Palm Beach judge would make the environment more sympathetic.  I remember the look on the Dept. of Revenue’s representative’s face when my ex lied, then cried when my attorney caught her lying.  Ladies, just because you get pregnant from having a one, second or third night stand doesn’t mean “men” are idiots.  Don’t assume all of us are.

New Blog Site

So I started my own blog site, not because I don't like Facebook; in fact, I'm an advid Facebook user and would recommend the works of Mark Zuckerberg to just about anyone, but I enjoy the freedom of some control.  Yea, I could create a website, run it on my own server and host it; that'll give me complete control, but I can settle for this.  Keep up with me if you can because I'm all over the place.  And I don't mean literally, but my mind tends to wander and those sleepless nights should count for something.  The TV in the background showing another social network movie on Starz, or maybe Zombieland (notice this Jesse Eisenberg guy is everywhere now...poor Mike Cera) with a Code Red Mountain Dew in hand keeps me going.  No World of Warcraft pressure could touch these fingers. Anyways, my site is blank now, but followers will come soon enough.  I always stir the pot clockwise and counter-clockwise.
